FAQ

Q: Is someone on the premises at night?
A: Yes, the owners and operators of the business reside onsite. We make sure our guests are tucked in and resting comfortably before we go to sleep. This ensures they are energized and ready for fun-filled days at the resort.

Q: Can you give my dogs medication?
A: We do administer medications for a fee of $ 1.00 per dose. However, all medications must be contained in their original labeled container.

Q: Can I bring my own bedding and toys?
A: Yes, you may bring your own pet’s bedding or favorite toy! Pets always feel better if they have the “smells of home” with them. However, please make sure that all of the items are washable and do not present a choking hazard. Toys need to be larger than a tennis ball and cannot absorb water. Due to potential chocking, we do not allow rawhide bones and/or toys.

Q: Can I pickup and/or drop off on Sundays or after hours?
A: Pets may only be picked up and dropped off during posted business hours. This policy is strictly enforced.

Q: Do I need to make a reservation?
A: Yes, we highly advise you to make an appointment as soon as possible. Like all resorts, reservations enable us to staff accordingly, ensure we have adequate space available and properly plan for your pet’s arrival. This is especially important during our busy times like summer, holidays, or just about any time the kids are out of school. Memorial Day, Christmas, Spring Break and Labor Day are often times booked up months in advance.

Q: What vaccinations are required?
A: Canine guests need to show current proof of Rabies, Distemper/Parvo and Bordatella (vaccine for kennel cough). Bordatella needs to be current within the last six months prior to your pets boarding date. If the Kennel cough shot needs to be updated prior to boarding, it must be done at least 5 days prior to boarding. Feline guests need to show proof of Rabies, Feline Leukemia, and FVRCP.

Q: Can my dogs stay in the same run?
A: Family dogs may stay together. In the event of a sibling squabble, your pets will be separated for their safety.

Q: Does my cat ever get out of its condo?
A: All cats get to stretch and play individually in the Catnip Inn. If there are family members, they may interact with each other in the playroom.

Q: Do you offer Daycare?
A: Yes, daycare is available in the Hound Lounge. Daycare guests enjoy the same amenities as our overnight guests. Overnight guests may participate in daycare activities for a nominal fee.

Q: Do you offer grooming?
A: We offer full service, all breed grooming. Appointments are required for spa services.

Q: What about climate control?
A: Our guests rest comfortably with evaporative cooling in our suite building and air conditioning in the Casitas. All buildings are heated during the cooler months.

Q: Can my dog and cat stay together?
A: For the safety and comfort of our guests, dogs and cats remain separate.

Q: Can I tour your facility?
A: Absolutely! In fact, we highly recommend it. See why we are the best in Central Texas. You never need an appointment to tour our resort.

Q: Do my pets need to be spayed or neutered?
A: All female pets must be spayed in order to stay with us. Non-neutered males are authorized to stay, but may not participate in any daycare activities.

Q: Does my dog have to have a flea and tick treatment?
A: To ensure guest comfort, all owners are required to provide proof of flea and tick treatment prior to boarding. All pets will be inspected for fleas prior to acceptance into the resort. If your pet is “clean” you will have the option of purchasing Biospot, for a nominal fee, or you may bring in and apply your own flea and tick treatment in the presence of one of our staff members. Dogs infested with a large number of fleas will be dipped and treated accordingly at the owner’s expense.

Q: Do you have a veterinarian on the premises?
A: While we do not have a veterinarian on the premises, we do have a vet on call that is available to us when your personal veterinarian is not.

Q: Can I have someone else pick up my pet?
A: Authorized individuals designated by you in person prior to boarding will be permitted to pick up your pets once payment has been received. A photo ID will be required when picking up your pet.

Q: Can I call and check up on my pets?
A: You are welcome to call anytime during office hours to check on your pets.

Q: Do dogs get outside time often?
A: In order to ensure your dog maintains healthy housekeeping habits, all dogs will have outside access at a minimum of three times each day.
