Our Pooch loves Almost Home Pet Resort in Temple, Texas!

We are a military family stationed at Fort Hood and living in Killeen. One of our first priorities after settling into our new home in November 2007 was to find a kennel for our beloved pooch before the need to board him arose. We visited several boarding facilities in the area over a period of weeks and never got that “warm & fuzzy” until we walked through the door at 4520 Taylor’s Valley Road. At the time the owners had only been there for six months or so and were the only staff. They greeted us with big, friendly smiles and escorted us around the facility for a tour. Though they had just begun plans for renovations, it had all the makings of a true pet resort—exactly like the one our pampered pet enjoys in Kissimmee, Florida during our family trips to Disney World. Since that initial visit, our pooch has been boarded at Almost Home Pet Resort several times. Just last month (September, 2008) he spent his longest vacation yet, a full ten days. I could hardly wait to get back to Central Texas to pick up our four-legged friend. I called the resort a few days in advance to ask if he could be groomed before pick up and I got a resounding “OF COURSE”, through the telephone. Two days later, I picked up a healthy, happy, fresh, groomed and smiling canine ( if you have one, you know what I mean). My only issue during that last visit is when they brought him out to go home—he ran by me and gave big hugs and kisses to the staff!!! I was slightly heartbroken, but extremely appreciative of their love and care for our pet Iggy. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
